  •  Adira Energy Ltd.

    Adira Energy Ltd. is a listed Canadian domiciled, oil & gas exploration and development company.
  •  AfriOre Ltd.

    AfriOre Ltd. was a minerals exploration company with gold and PGM projects and engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of resource properties in Africa and elsewhere. AfriOre was ultimately sold to Lonmin Plc. in 2007 for approx CAD $450,000,000. PowerOne was a member of the syndicate raising CAD $7,000,000 in its early stages of operation.
  • Aurelian Resources Inc.

    Aurelian was a gold exploration company in Ecuador. PowerOne and its principals were instrumental in the creation of Aurelian, its initial financings as well as Aurelian’s going public transaction. Aurelian was sold to Kinross Gold for $870M in 2008 based on its 13,700,000 ounce gold discovery.
  • Auryx Gold

    Auryx is a Canadian based, growth-focused, resource company engaged in the acquisition, exploration and development of gold projects in Namibia. The Company is currently advancing the Otjikoto gold deposit, located 300km north of Namibia's capital city, Windhoek. PowerOne was instrumental in assisting the company acquire the Otjikoto 2million Oz. gold deposit, and raising approximately CDN $48 million as required for the acquisition of the asset and initial working capital. Since Auryx’s IPO in June 2010, PowerOne has also acted as an advisor to the company for a CDN $30 million bought deal financing.

    Auryx is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker AYX.   

  • Aus Potash Corp

    Aus Potash Corp was acquired by Sirius Exploration Plc in 2008.  Sirius Exploration Plc is a diversified mining and exploration holding company. The Company has major interests in properties overlying three recognised – and significant - salt deposits in North America and Australia. PowerOne was involved in raising approximately CAD $4 million and has also serviced the company in a financial advisory role.
     
    Sirius also continues to hold historic copper and gold interests in Macedonia and an iron ore interest in China through its equity position in a CIC Mining Resources Ltd. vehicle.
  • Brownstone Energy Inc.

    Brownstone Energy is a Canadian-based, energy-focused company with direct interests in oil and gas assets around the world. By owning and managing a diversified portfolio of energy-based projects, Brownstone provides shareholders with a unique energy investment alternative. PowerOne is currently Brownstone’s primary financial advisor and continues to work closely with the company.  PowerOne has also helped Brownstone raise over CAD $16 million.   
  • Buchanan Renewables Inc.

    Buchanan Renewables was a private company involved in development of biomass power generation in war torn Liberia. Buchanan’s operations not only helped reestablish the economy in the area through the training and employment of over 1000 local inhabitants, it also worked with the farmers to repair their land, teach them to grow alternative cash crops and has repaired hundreds of miles roads to mention but a few of the ways they had helped. In 2008, Buchanan was acquired by The McCall MacBain Foundation, a Foundation started by Canadian billionaire John McCall MacBain to promote health and the environment in the developing world. PowerOne capital helped finance and advise Buchanan Renewables from its early stages, participating in a $9.5M financing, through to its eventual acquisition by the McCall MacBain Foundation.

  • Canwest Petroleum Corporation

    Canwest Petroleum, now operating as Oilsands Quest Inc., is a public company engaged in a variety of projects in the oil and gas industry in Western Canada with an emphasis on the oil sands. The company is aggressively exploring Canada's largest contiguous oil sands land holding, which is located in northeast Alberta and northwest Saskatchewan. Oilsands Quest is leading the development of an oil sands industry in the province of Saskatchewan. PowerOne was acted as advisor to Canwest Petroleum.
  • Cline Mining Corp.

    Cline is a Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX – “CMK”) listed company in the business of acquiring, exploring and developing mine mineral resource properties to production in Canada, United States and overseas. The Company is a growth-oriented mine finder, developer and operator with an experienced management team and is supported by its strategic international corporate partner and shareholder, Mitsui Matsushima, a Japanese coal miner and conglomerate, which is also represented on the Cline Board of Directors.
  • Colossus Minerals Inc.

    The principals of PowerOne are the co-founders, advisors and financiers of Colossus Minerals Inc. which is developing the high-grade Serra Pelada gold/platinum/palladium project currently being advanced toward production in Brazil. PowerOne was also member of the syndicate in the recent CDN $71,875,000 bought deal financing.
  • Continental Gold Ltd.

    Continental is a privately held, Bermuda-based, gold exploration company formed in May 2007 that has seven 100% owned gold exploration projects on over 100,000 hectares of exploration concessions in some of the most prospective gold districts in Colombia. The principals of PowerOne have acted as merchant banker, initial financiers, and are currently completing a CAD$32 million financing to advance the package of gold exploration projects in Colombia.
  • Dalradian Resources Inc.

    Dalradian Resources is an exploration company working to increase its portfolio of gold and base metals resources at its approximately 84,000-hectare Tyrone Project in Tyrone and Londonderry counties in Northern Ireland. PowerOne has helped the company raise over CDN $40 million to date and was recently an advisor to the company for its CDN $34 million Initial Public Offering in May 2010.  Dalradian Resources is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the ticker DNA.   
  • Delavaco Energy Inc.

    Delavaco was a private oil & gas exploration and production company headquartered in Calgary and Toronto, with regional operations office in Bogota, Colombia.  Delavaco was incorporated in November 2007. From November 2007 through 2008 the company raised funds by way of Private Placements to finance the purchase of assets and operations and acquired additional working interests during this time. PowerOne was a member of the Syndicate which raised over $13 million during this time.  In September 2009, Alange Energy Corp acquired from the shareholders of Delavaco all of the issued and outstanding common shares of Delavaco in exchange for common shares of Alange Energy. Delavaco's financial advisor was Canaccord Capital Corp., while  PowerOne Capital Markets Limited and Clarus Securities Inc. acted as strategic advisors for Delavaco.
  • Evolving Gold Corporation

    Evolving Gold is focused on exploring its significant discovery at Rattlesnake Hills, Wyoming, an alkalic gold system, similar to the Cripple Creek gold district in Colorado.

    PowerOne was involved in the recent financing of approximately CAD $11 million.

  • Intercontinental Potash Corp.

    ICP is developing its Ochoa New Mexico property with the primary purpose of using polyhalite as feedstock to produce Sulphate of Potash. Sulphate of Potash, “SOP” or Potassium Sulphate, is premium priced potash. The market for SOP is approximately 4 million tonnes per year. SOP is used as a significant alternative fertilizer to sylvite (Muriate of Potash or MOP) for agricultural products such as fruits, vegetables, tobacco, potatoes, and horticultural plants. SOP has low "salinity" compared to MOP, and therefore is also used in various saline soils in the world, which are found for example in China, India, the Mediterranean, and the United States. PowerOne was instrumental in advising management during the creation and recent restructuring of Intercontinental Potash, as well as advising on the reverse takeover transaction. PowerOne has also been involved in raising CAD $5.5 million for Intercontinental Potash since its inception.
  • Latin American Minerals

    Latin American Minerals Inc. is a dynamic mineral exploration company managed by individuals with a proven and consistent history of discovery. The company is commitment to creating wealth for its shareholders by focusing on the acquisition and development of emerging exploration opportunities in the under-explored but highly prospective countries of South and Central America.  The company is currently focused on its Paso Yobai Epithermal Gold Project in Paraguay where they have completed preliminary open pit mine design, metallurgical testing, flow sheet design, and determined preliminary acquisition and procurement cost estimates for a 500 tonne per day pilot plant. Latin American Minerals is also working on its Tendal Zinc, Copper, Lead, Silver Project in La Rioja Argentina where exploration has outlined a stratabound massive sulphide horizon up to 80 metres thick which can be traced along strike for 2 kilometres.
  • Lithium Americas Corp.

    Lithium Americas is a junior exploration and development company focused on the exploration and development of Lithium, Potash, Borax and other industrial minerals in South America. 

    PowerOne  was involved in the initial private placement and has raised approximately CAD $12 million for Lithium Americas to date.  PowerOne played a financing and advisory role as well as facilitated discussions with strategic partners.

  • Mega Precious Metals Inc.

    Mega Precious Metals Inc. is a well-financed Canadian-based mineral exploration company with several projects in Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, Nunavut and the Yukon. Mega Precious is committed to an accelerated growth strategy and is backed by a team of experienced mining experts and a strong financial position. Mega Precious is poised for rapid expansion through quick response to new opportunities and changes in the market. Mega’s common shares trade on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol MGP.

  • Mega Uranium Ltd.

    Mega Uranium is a Canadian mineral resources company with a focus on uranium projects. It has uranium resources in Australia and uranium exploration projects in Australia, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Canada and Cameroon. In addition, Mega Uranium has interests in base and precious minerals exploration properties in Canada and Latin America.  PowerOne has been involved with Mega Uranium since its inception in both a financial and advisory capacity. 
  • Petrolifera Petroleum Limited

    Petrolifera Petroleum Limited – Petrolifera is a Calgary-based crude oil and natural gas exploration, development and production company active in South America. Petrolifera holds interests in approximately six million acres of petroleum and natural gas rights in eleven onshore concessions or licenses in Argentina, Colombia and Peru. PowerOne has been the primary advisor and merchant bank to Petrolifera since its inception. PowerOne has been the primary advisor and Merchant Bank to Petrolifera since its inception.  PowerOne was most recently involved in raising approximately $8.5 million for Petrolifera and advising on the Initial Public Offering. 

    Pat DiCapo currently sits on Petrolifera’s Board of Directors. 
  • Primera Energy Resources Ltd.

    Primera Energy is independent Canadian oil and gas company, the result of a reverse takeover of Optimal Services Limited on January 2007. Since starting in 2005, Primera has acquired assets onshore Trinidad, and has interests in assets located onshore India and in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin of Canada. Primera continues to pursue opportunities onshore Trinidad in the highly productive Southern Sedimentary Basin. PowerOne was involved in the recent $4,000,000 equity financing.
  • Quetzal Energy Inc.

    Quetzal Energy Inc. is a well-financed Canadian-based energy company with exploration and production assets in Guatemala and interests in Colombia in the Llanos basin.
    PowerOne is a longstanding financier and advisor to Quetzal having helped Quetzal raise over CAD $20 million. PowerOne also recently advised Quetzal with respect to its reverse takeover of Southhampton Ventures and was also responsible for the financing component of the transaction.
  • Ryan Gold Corp.

    Ryan Gold Corp. is a gold exploration company formed through the merger of Valdez Gold Inc. and a private company, Ryan Gold Inc. in December 2010.  PowerOne and its principals were involved with the inception of Ryan Gold Inc., initial financings and working with management and Shawn Ryan to ascertain its interests in the company’s portfolio of Yukon properties.

    The company is currently focused on gold exploration in the Yukon Territory, Canada and Alaska, USA.  In the Yukon, Ryan Gold is exploring the Ida Oro Property located 60 km to the east of Dawson City and 25 kilometers to the east of Brewery Creek Mine. To the west of Dawson the company is earning in on a joint venture with Valley High Ventures on the Flume Property, located at the head waters of Ten Mile Creek, where active placer mining is taking place. The company is also exploring its Fifty Mile project located 60 km south-south west of Dawson City.

    In Alaska the company is exploring the Bluff Project located approximately 90 km to the east of Nome on the Seward Peninsula. The company is earning in on the project through a joint venture with Millrock Resources Inc.
  • Stans Energy Corp.

    Stans Energy Corp. is a company focused on developing Rare Earth Elements (REEs), Uranium, and Associated Metals. The headquarters of the company is in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and its wholly-owned subsidiary company, Stans Energy KG, is located in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Stans Energy Corp’s Chairman, Rodney Irwin, is the Honorary Consul of the Kyrgyz Republic for Canada.

    Stans owns five mineral properties in Kyrgyzstan, of which Kutessay II is most advanced.
  • Waymar Resources

    Waymar Resources Ltd. ("Waymar") is a Canadian based mineral exploration company with an option to acquire 100% interest in the Anzá project located in the west of the Antioquia Department in the Republic of Colombia.   Colombia is a significant producer of gold, nickel, emeralds, petroleum and natural gas as well as a leading producer of coal in Latin America.  It is the fourth ranked gold producer in Latin America after Peru, Brazil and Chile.  PowerOne worked closely with the company to assist in securing the Anzá project, and also assisted the company with its recent financings.
  • Western Potash Corp.

    Western Potash is a mineral exploration company engaged in the acquisition, evaluation and exploration of potash mineral properties in Western Canada. Western Potash Corp. has over 860,000 acres of potash permits and applications in both Manitoba and Saskatchewan, Canada.

    Western Potash was able to raise in excess of 45 million CAD from institutional and retail investors, and PowerOne advised on the reverse takeover in May 2008.
